Kindergarten students at Redeemer Christian School are taught a Christ-centered classical curriculum. This means that Biblical principles are applied across each subject, AND the class environment reflects a Christ-centered environment and decorum. Our approach and method is kid-friendly and enjoyable for all while preparing them for advancement into the rigors of a classical Christian education.

Our classes are held on our campus in Mesa, AZ every weekday, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM.

Our Christian Kindergarten Program focuses on teaching 8 core academic areas: Mathematics, Science, Phonics and Reading, Social Studies and History, Biblical Timeline, Recitation and Oration, Music and Movement, and Penmanship and Art.

Kindergarten Mathematics

  • Number line, Counting by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, 10’s, place value, ordinal position, sorting, and patterning
  • Word problems, addition/subtraction facts, add/subtract two digit numbers, and fractions

Say Hello To Mrs. Wendy O’Neal

Mrs. Wendy O'Neal our Kindergarten teacher for Redeemer Christian School in Mesa, Arizona.

Mrs. Wendy O’Neal serves as our Kindergarten Teacher, for the Academic Core classes on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the Enrichment Kindergarten days on Tuesday and Thursdays. Wendy and her husband have two children, one of whom attends RCS.

All faculty and staff at our Mesa, AZ campus are committed to excellence in the classroom and beyond to ensure the success of RCS students now and into the future.

All RCS staff members are:

  • Professing Christians who regularly attend and are involved in a Bible-based church
  • College graduates with at least a 4-year degree, and participate in the RCS Teacher Certification Program. Many of our teachers have advanced degrees in their fields
  • Mature Christians who believe that Christian teaching is a spiritual calling, and are teaching their subjects with spiritual insight and with a Christian worldview
  • Able to provide the security of a well-structured and productive classroom
  • Serving as a role model of Christian virtue

Kindergarten Admissions Requirements

Kindergarten Age Requirements

A child should have reached the age of five (5) years by September 1st of the Fall in which he would be entering Kindergarten (Exceptions may be granted by Administration).

Kindergarten Readiness Test

Kindergarten applicants must pass a school-administered Kindergarten Readiness Test. The test incudes a general assessment of gross & fine motor skills, verbal communication, basic academic understanding, and more. For details on the test requirements, please book a tour or contact us directly.

Respect for Teachers and School Guidelines 

The student must understand that the school is acting in loco parentis and therefore he/she is subject to the instruction and discipline of the teachers and administrators in their prescribed roles at RCS.
